A Celebration of Migrant Justice with Julia Alvarez: The event featured Julia Alvarez, acclaimed author and activist best known for her novels In the Time Of the Butterflies and How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents. Ms. Alvarez read from her brand new short story, “A Light Out,” which is about a migrant worker and was included in Contemporary Vermont Fiction: An Anthology.
